1. Bhawanipur Block Level Cluster Project: Bhawanipur Block Level Cluster Project in Barpeta District under Ministry of Textiles, Office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Govt. of India.
Total beneficiaries – 700 Nos.
Project cost – Rs.139.49 lakh
Project period – 3 years
Skill Upgradation Training Programmes, Basic Inputs for Technology Upgradation, Setting up of C.F.C. has changed the weavers towards commercialisation in nature.
2. Boko Block Level Cluster Project: Boko Block Level Cluster Project in Kamrup District under Ministry of Textiles, Office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Govt. of India.
Total beneficiaries – 680 Nos.
Project cost – Rs.139.39 lakh
Project period – 3 years

3. Skill upgradation Training for ST Weavers under WPT & BC Dept, Govt. of Assam: 328 Nos. of ST beneficiaries in the state have been provided skill upgradation training on Handloom Weaving for production of value added fabrics with the expert in the line.
4. Setting up of Yarn Bank Scheme: Govt. of Assam accorded administrative approval a total cost of Rs.1215.00 lakh only for setting up of Yarn Bank for Handloom Weavers during 2013-14 in 27 Nos. Districts of Assam under Handloom and Textiles Deptt. ARTFED has undertaken the implementation of the Scheme as recommended by Govt. of Assam.
In the 1st phase, as per budget provision of Directorate of Handloom and Textiles released an amount of Rs.469.00 lakh during 2013-14, for 11 Nos. of Yarn Bank at Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Barpeta, Goalpara, Nagaon, Jorhat Sibsagar, Lakhimpur, Dhemaji , Silchar, Kamrup . All 11 Nos. of Yarn Banks are smoothly functioning.
In the 2nd phase an amount of Rs.400.00 lakh only released for setting up of 8 Nos. of Yarn Banks in the Districts of Golaghat, Morigaon, Darrang, Sonitpur, Nalbari, Dhubri, Bongaigaon, Karimganj.
An amount of Rs.346.00 yet to release from Deptt. for balance of 8 Nos. of Yarn Bank.
All the targeted weavers in the concerned district are procuring Yarn at Mill Gate Price with 20% subsidy in all variety.
5. Sivasagar Mega Handloom Cluster under the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India.
Resource Centre will help for development of Entrepreneurial carriers of weavers through training on Handloom Weaving, Garmenting etc.

7. Apparel & Garment Making Centre: The Project titled “Apparel and Garment Making Centre has been setup on a piece of land measuring 1.5 acres located Pachim Boragaon, P.S. & Mouza – Jalukbari, Guwahati Circle under NERTPS of the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India. New Delhi. The site is approximately 1.5 k.m. from N.H.- 37, 13 k.m. from Guwahati Railway Station, 7 k.m. from Kamakhya Railway Station and 17 k.m. from LGBI Airport, Guwahati, Assam Apex Weavers & Artisans Co-operative Federation Ltd. (ARTFED) has been identified by the Government of Assam to be the Implementing Agency (PIA) for the Project. There are three (3) Units in the said Incubation Centre and each unit has 15000 sq.ft. of space. The cost for the infrastructural facility and 300 nos. of Swing machines and equipments are Rs.1426.15 lakh. M/S Fabric Plus (P) Ltd., Guwahati and M/S Modelama Skills (P) Ltd., Haryana as incubates for the Unit No. II & III i.e. Production Unit and Unit No. 1 i.e. Skilling Unit respectively have set up their start ups.
8. Regional Handloom & Handicraft Marketing Complex: The Project titled “Construction of Regional Handloom and Handicraft Marketing Complex at A.K. Azad Road, Rehabari, Ghy-8 which is implemented by ARTFED and funded by N.E.C., Shillong is a comprehensive Six storied building as showcase to boost up sales of Handloom and Handicraft products of North Eastern Region. N.E.C., Shillong accorded administrative approval fo revision of the project at an estimated cost of Rs.785.34 lakh only as recommended by the Govt. of Assam.
