Handicrafts Sector
1. Handicraft Technical Training Programme: ARTFED has organised 10 Nos. of Handicraft Technical Training Programme under the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) covering 200 artisans from the areas of Golaghat, Upper Deuri Gaon, Nalbari, Khumtai and Ouguri, Jorhat in Assam . The total project cost of Rs.54,20,600.00.
2. Craft Awareness Programme: 25 Nos. of Craft Awareness Programmes under the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, Office of the Development Commissioner, Handicrafts will be organised covering 500 artisans from 25 Nos. areas in the State to aware about the craft and its development to suit in the national and international market.
3. Craft Cluster Project: 4 Nos. of craft Cluster project at Rangia in Cane & Bamboo, Artistic Textiles; Sarthebari in Bell Matel Craft ; Rangapara in Cane & Bamboo, Artistic Textiles Craft, Embroidery; Bihali in Artistic Textiles & Embroidery Craft are under progress.
ARTFED has proposed to organised nos. of Craft Bazar, Gandhi Shilp Bazar,Sourcing Show, Handicraft Exhibition this year to sale and expose of handicraft items of Assam and N.E. Region.

Kamalpurl Cluster Developmnt Programme: Kamalpurl Cluster Project in Kamrup District under NHDP, Ministry of Textiles, Office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Govt. of India.

Project cost – Rs.84.565 lakh
Project period – 3 years
Construction of individual work shed, HSS items under individual intervention has changed the weavers towards commercialization in nature.
